ESY Web Builder uses a dedicated backup server where everyday all clients' websites are automatically copied for backup purposes. The backup covers databses, emails, files, production server configuration end so forth. Clients have now the possibility to directly access their backups and to restore in just one click any page (either draft, published or archived) of any day of the previous two weeks. That means that if you delete complete a web page today and then wait 10 days and then realise that that page was important and you want it back, you can extract it from the backup easily and quikly.
To restore a page from backup, follow the steps below:
- Logon to ESY Web Builder.
- On the top area of the interface, click the "backup" link. The Backup screen appears.
- On the left-side of the Backup screen, select the backup date (the day from which you want to restore the page). For example, you can select "yesterday" or any day of the previous two weeks. Once you click a day, the right-side menu automatically populates with the pages extracted from relative backup.
- Select then the page you want to restore. Each page displays the date / time of the last update.
- Click the button Restore Page".
Note: If you restore a page that was also present in the live version of the site, that backup page will be overwritten on the existing live page.
