It is often convenient to create GROUPS of users who have access to specific content for editing purposes. This can and should reflect existing organizational structures, e.g. a member of the sales department should be able to modify only content related to pages related to sales, pricing, etc.
By default, all pages and users are included in one, site-wide GROUP. You can create an unlimited number of GROUPS and assign to each of them one or more USERS and PAGES. Once assigned to a GROUP, a PAGE can be seen (and therefore updated if permissions allow it) only by the USERS who are members of that GROUP (a page not assigned to a GROUP cannot be seen in ESY Web Builder interface).
Extranet PAGES can only be accessed by USERS who have permission to access secured pages, regardless of whether they are part of a GROUP which has EXTRANET pages assigned to it.
To create a new GROUP, follow the steps below:
- Logon to ESY Web Builder
- Click GROUPS tab at the top of the screen.
- Click New Group in the left menu. Setup the new group and provide a name for it.

- Once done, click the Save button.
To modify or delete a GROUP follow these steps:
- Logon to ESY Web Builder
- Click GROUPS tab at the top of the screen.
- To modify a GROUP, click its name. Change the PAGES and the USERS relating to the GROUP.

- When finished, click Save
- To delete a GROUP, click the Delete button in the left menu:
- In the next window, you can either confirm the deletion of the GROUP by pressing Delete again or revert back to this modification screen by clicking Close. No pages or users are deleted in the latter case.
