To improve page readability, you may want to create links to parts within a page which discuss a specific topic. This is especially useful when presenting a long text (more than one screen long for the reader). In ESY Web Builder, this is achieved by inserting bookmarks to parts of a page.
To create a bookmark within a page, follow these steps:
- Create a new page or edit any existing page.
- Click the point of the document where you want to insert the anchor. You do not have to select text but it is advisable to link a bookmark to a heading or subheading.
- Click the bookmark button
to open the Bookmark Manager. Give the bookmark a sensible name, then click apply. You will see a small grey rectangle where the bookmark is set.
- You may then click somewhere else within the text and place another bookmark following this same procedure (the total number of bookmarks per page is unlimited). When finished, click the ok button.
To delete a bookmark within a page, follow these steps:
- To delete a bookmark, simply, delete the gray rectangle which indicates it exists.
To create a link to an existing bookmark within a page, follow these steps:
- To link to a bookmark from anywhere in the page, follow the procedure to insert a hyperlink and select the Bookmark from the drop-down list of available ones in the Link tab dialog.
